Welcome to Troop 577

White Buffalo District Troop of the Year 2012, 2015, and 2021

Our Troop is sponsored by Covenant Presbyterian Church in Wichita, Kansas; and is part of the White Buffalo District in Quivira Council.

The Troop started in the spring of 2012, and has firmly established itself as a solid, contributing organization; both in scouting and in our community.

We invite all boys between the ages of 11 and 18 to participate. We are an active organization with activities every month, yet we encourage all of the scouts to participate in sports and other extracurricular activities.

In line with the National Boy Scout Program, we plan and design our program and activities around the principles of building citizenship in the community, having a strong character, and having mental and physical fitness.

Scouts BSA is the traditional Scouting experience for youth in the fifth grade through high school in the Wichita area.

With more than 130 Merit Badges — from Archery and Art to Welding and Wilderness Survival — Scouting is the ultimate form of learning by doing. Boy Scouts explore their interests and improve their skills while working toward Scouting’s highest rank: Eagle. By first imagining, planning then doing their own service projects, Boy Scouts learn the value of hard work, and experience the thrill of seeing it pay off. Add in outdoor adventures, hiking and camping, and Scouting gives boys all the experience they need to become men.
